A 20 - die Küstenautobahn

Die A 20 mit einer Gesamtlänge von 323,2 Kilometern, davon 279,6 Kilometer in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern wird bis 2005 fertiggestellt. Sie verbindet die Hansestadt Lübeck mit Stettin in Polen. über die Anschlussstellen bei Grimmen werden insbesondere die Stadt Grimmen sowie über die Anschlussstelle B 96n (Rügenanbindung) die Stadt Stralsund und im weiteren Verlauf die Insel Rügen an die A 20 und damit an das Fernstraßennetz angebunden.

A 20 - The coastal highway

The A 20, with a total length of 323.2 kilometres, of which 279.6 kilometres in Mecklen-burg-Vorpommern will be completed by 2005. It will connect the Hanseatic city of Lübeck with Stettin in Poland. The city of Grimmen – via the Grimmen junctions, the city of Stralsund – via the B 96n junction (Rügen connection), and in the course of time the island of Rügen,will be connected to the A 20, and with that to the trunk of major highways.

Unmittelbar vor Grimmens Toren kreuzen sich die West-Ost-Autobahn A 20 (Lübeck-Stettin) und die Nord-Süd-Verbindung B 194 (Stralsund-Berlin). Die Verkehrsströme aus den Wachstumsregionen rund um die Ostsee treffen sich am Pommern-dreieck. Genau in Grimmen.

Im 80 km Radius um Grimmen befinden sich die Seehäfen Rostock, Stralsund, Saßnitz-Mukran, Greifswald-Ladebow und Wolgast. Jeder von ihnen verzeichnet stetig wachsende Tonnagezahlen und ausgezeichneten Service. Als Fährhäfen haben sich Warnemünde und Mukran längst fest etabliert.

Located within an 80 km radius around Grimmen are the seaports Rostock, Stralsund, Saßnitz-Mukran, Greifswald-Ladebow and Wolgast. Each of them regularly record steadily rising tonnage figures and exceptional service. Warnemünde and Mukran have long since established themselves as ferry ports.

Der Flughafen Rostock-Laage fliegt ab 2002 die internationalen Verkehrsdrehkreuze in Deutschland und Europa an. In 45 Minuten sind Sie von Grimmen aus am Terminal. Oder Ihre Fracht im Cargo-Center.

Von Grimmens Bahnhof in der Innenstadt erreichen Sie den Intercity-Bahnhof Stralsund und über Neubrandenburg die Hauptstadt Berlin direkt, ohne umzusteigen. Der Bahnhof Greifswald liegt nur eine halbe Stunde entfernt.

Starting in 2002 Rostock-Laage Airport will fly to international transportation hubs in Germany and Europe. From Grimmen you are at the Terminal in 45 minutes. Or your freight at the Cargo-Centre.

From Grimmen’s train station in the city centre you can reach Stralsund Intercity-Station, and via Neubranden-burg the capital city Berlin, directly without changeovers. Greifswald Station is only a half-hour away.
