1267, Keimzeit der EU des Nordens, der Hanse. Grimmen wird erstmals urkundlich erwähnt. Viele sagen, hier soll’s nicht stimmen. Stimmt. Grimmen war immer anders. Hier denkt man nach, bevor man etwas tut. Deshalb passiert bei uns Vieles später als anderswo. Nämlich stets genau zum richtigen Zeitpunkt. Nachdenklich, still und beharrlich ist der Grimmener, freundlich und kreativ. Wenn er das auch gern, fast hanseatisch, für sich behält. Inmitten einer first class Landschaft mit erstklassiger Verkehrs-anbindung behaupten wir in Grimmen, der 1a Standort Vorpommerns zu sein. Boddenlandschaft, das Trebeltal: Diese erlesene Sammlung an Top-Touristenzielen gehört zum Landkreis Nordvorpommern. Und Nordvorpommern wird von seiner Kreisstadt Grimmen aus gelenkt. Eine übersichtliche, überschaubare Stadt mit Ausstrahlung. Alles Nötige ist innerhalb von zehn Minuten erreichbar. In spätestens fünf Minuten sind Sie draußen in einer Natur, für deren Besuch die meisten Menschen in Urlaub fahren müssen. Sie können ohne Verlust der Lebensqualität auch innerhalb der Stadtgrenzen bleiben. Grimmens Altstadt hat als einzige pommersche Landstadt die Wirren der diversen Kriege schadlos überstanden. Backsteingotik prägt das Stadtbild. Das Rathaus und die drei Stadttore sind hanseweit berühmt. Bei uns fühlen sich sogar die Einwohner wohl (die es meist ja bekanntlich in der Ferne besser finden). Und: man kann hier fast Alles einkaufen. Bei exotischen Dingen, wie „Bremer Grützwurst”, arbeiten wir aber noch dran.

1267, the genesis of the EU of the north, of the Hanseatic League. Grimmen is officially mentioned for the first time. One may say that something here isn’t quite right. That’s true. Grimmen was always different. Here one thinks before one acts. That’s why many things happen here later than elsewhere - in other words always precisely at the right time. Grimmeners are contemplative, calm and persistent, friendly and creative. Even if they tend, almost Hanseatic-like, to keep it to themselves. Amongst a first-class landscape with first-class traffic connections, in Grimmen we claim to be the A-1 location in Vorpommern. Darß, Zingst, the Strelasund (inlet on the Baltic Sea), the “Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft” National Park, the Trebel Valley: this exquisite collection of top tourist destinations are part of Nordvorpommern County. Nordvor-pommern is regulated from its district town Grimmen. A clearly laid out, easily manageable city with flair. Every necessity can be easily reached within 10 minutes. In no more than five minutes you are out in the coun-tryside, a visit to which most people have to go on holiday to reach. You can also remain within the city bor-ders without sacrificing your quality of life. Grimmen’s old town remains the only Pomeranian town to have entirely survived the turmoil of various wars. Gothic brick architecture marks the townscape. The town hall and the three city gates are renowned throug-hout the Hanseatic League. Even the local inhabitants feel happy here (who are generally known to seek out far-off places.) Also, you can buy almost anything here. We’re still working on a few exotic things though, like “Bremer Grützwurst” for instance. |
